Recurring Love
Have you ever felt loved?
That overwhelming feeling that lasts for less than a second,
There are so many splendid versions of love,
Love is like a hug, always there with one single motion,
But your arms will always be empty if you never try,
That burst of love as you pull up to a familiar building,
The flood of memories that fill your heart,
The avalanche of tears that builds up in your eyes as your feet touch the recurring ground,
Once a small fraction of that love asks you if you're okay,
The only response that you can build up is that they're tears of love,
That's all love is: emotions and senses,
If someone asked you what love smells like, feels like, and tastes like, what would you say?
I don’t know what not to say,
When I'm in my darkest hours, all I need to do is think of all the love,
And all I want to do is give someone a hug,
The best way to transfer love is to wrap your arms around someone with care,
After all, the benefits of hugging are endless,
But the greatest benefit is the feeling of warmth, safety, and love.
